Tampa Bay Area
Tampa Bay is one of America’s popular getaway towns from winter weather. Including cities such as Tampa, Clearwater, and St. Petersburg, the area is famous for its seafood restaurants, tropical weather, white sandy beaches, fishing, swimming, and its breathtaking sunsets. Nature trails have been built for bicyclists and joggers wishing to enjoy the scenery and fresh air. The Tampa Bay area has many parks and natural habitats, wildlife areas, swamps and alligators side-by-side with picnic and recreational locations.
The city of Tampa offers attractions and theme parks such as Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, Lowry Park Zoo, M.O.S.I. and Florida Aquarium. Tampa is also home to popular nightlife districts such as Channelside, SoHo, International Plaza and Bay Street and Ybor City. Ybor City, a historical landmark once dominated by the Tampa Cigar Industry (there are still some cigar factories there), is now a popular tourist center with historical sites, clubs and restaurants of every description, and all kinds of entertainment to enjoy. The local music scene hosts a large club scene where Rock, Jazz, Blues, and Latin music are featured. Each year, the city puts on The Clearwater Jazz Festival where many international bands play for the local audience.
The Clearwater area showcases attractions such as museums, amazing natural parks, the Heritage Village, concerts at the Ruth Eckerd Hall right next door and special events such as The Clearwater Jazz Festival. Clearwater is regularly voted among the top 10 beach communities in the nation. Our beaches and islands are gorgeous in their pristine beauty. Stunning sunsets, a safe living environment, and fresh seafood from the Gulf of Mexico are all wonderful reasons that make Clearwater a good place to come and study music
