Guitar
Larry Coryell is regarded as the first fusion guitarist in history. His 40 years as a player put him in the company of John McLaughlin, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Pat Metheny, Billy Cobham, Michael Brecker, Chick Corea, Charlie Haden, and Steve Swallow. He played in Gary Burton’s first quartet and founded the pioneering instrumental group The 11th House. He has influenced a generation of guitar players with his original creativity that makes Larry a master.

Drums
Danny Gottlieb's drumming has brought him Grammy nominations, gold records, and world-wide acclaim. The founding drummer in Pat Metheny's original band, Danny has also recorded and/or toured with The Mahavishnu Orchestra, Pat Martino Quintet, The Blues Brothers, and the Gil Evans Orchestra. Danny shares his experience in the music industry with the student body and shows creative and original ways to approach percussion and drums.

Piano, Upright Bass
Versatile and harmonically innovative player Richard Drexler brings his experience and knowledge to enhance our Music Principles Class. Playing in the Woody Herman Orchestra and David Liebman Quartet, Richard has also recorded and performed with a long list of the greatest jazz musicians of the last 25 years.

Bass
Bassist Victor Wooten is known for his solo recordings and tours, and as a member of the Grammy-winning supergroup, Béla Fleck & The Flecktones. He has also recorded and performed with artists like Branford Marsalis, Mike Stern, Bruce Hornsby, Chick Corea, Dave Matthews, Prince, Susan Tedeschi, Vital Tech Tones (with Scott Henderson and Steve Smith), the Jaco Pastorius Word Of Mouth Big Band, and the soundtrack of the Disney film Country Bears.

Mike Stern has established himself as one of the premier jazz and jazz-fusion guitarists of his generation with four GRAMMY nominations and more than a dozen eclectic and innovative recordings. In a career that spans three decades, he has also played with Michael Brecker, David Sanborn, Jaco Pastorius, Marcus Miller, Steve Smith, Bob Berg, Dennis Chambers, Ron Carter, Joe Henderson, John Patitucci, Jack DeJohnette, Richard Bona and Victor Wooten.

Percussionist Gumbi Ortiz has lent his rhythmical pulse to the music of most of today's top musicians. The percussionist in Al DiMeola's band for over 20 years, Gumbi brings his rhythmic lessons coupled

Bass
Brian Bromberg has established himself as a very versatile acoustic and electric bassist capable of playing straight-ahead jazz, funk, and fusion. Since touring with Stan Getz at the young age of 19, Bromberg has been a valuable sidemen with many bands including those led by Horace Silver, Monty Alexander, Dizzy Gillespie, Richie Cole, Lee Ritenour, Dave Grusin, and Freddie Hubbard. He has also released several successful albums as a leader and solo artist.
